Alert for the Matane–Baie-Comeau–Godbout ferry

The Société des traversiers du Québec (STQ) is advising customers of the Matane-Baie-Comeau-Godbout ferry of a schedule change due to a strike by unlicensed employees affiliated with the CSN union. The strike will begin at midnight on Thursday, December 12, and end at 7:59 a.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2024.

Service will be completely interrupted on Thursday, December 12 and Friday, December 13, 2024, according to the following schedule: 

- Wednesday, December 11: last crossing from Godbout to Matane at 5 p.m.

- Thursday, December 12 and Friday, December 13: no crossings.

- Saturday, December 14: Service resumes, according to the following schedule:

o First crossing from Matane to Godbout at 9 a.m. 

o Return from Godbout to Matane at noon.

Thereafter, the normal schedule will apply.  

For customers with reservations for cancelled crossings, deposits will be refunded.

The return to normal will be sent to you by alert.
